To set the best and most realistic treatment goals and priorities, it is important to evaluate what resources you have available to pay for your treatment. If you have a health insurance policy, it will usually provide some coverage for mental health treatment. Dr. Ralston will submit an insurance claim after each session, and will provide you with whatever assistance he can in helping you receive the benefits to which you are entitled. It will be helpful to you to learn from your insurance provider exactly what mental health services your insurance policy covers.
You are encouraged to fully read the section in your insurance coverage booklet, or online, that describes mental health services. If you have questions about the coverage, call your plan administrator. If you wish, Dr. Ralston will also provide you with whatever information he can based on his experience and will be happy to help you in understanding the information you receive from your insurance company.
Please remember that you always have the right to pay using cash, check, or credit card for his services to avoid using insurance if you would like to do so for any reason.
